BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT

The biggest gift to your child

As much as breastfeeding is a natural and entirely wonderful thing, it may not be straightforward experience - especially in the first weeks of your baby's life. I am here to support you on every step of your journey with kind, gentle and compassionate care. I am committed to providing you with the knowledge and encouragement you need to make your transition easier.

Breastfeeding creates a special bond between mum and her baby. And with the right preparation and support you can become breastfeeding diva.

I fell in love with breastfeeding ever since I had my first daughter. In 2005, when expecting my second daughter, I trained with La Leche League as a breastfeeding peer supporter. Over the years I have had the privilege to accompany hundreds of mama-baby dyads on their breastfeeding journeys. I learned alongside them and gained invaluable experience that enabled me to become IBCLC.

As IBCLC I can assist you with both simple and complex breastfeeding challenges such as:

  • Adjusting to life with a newborn

  • Baby wearing

  • Bottles

  • Breastfeeding without birthing

  • Breast refusal

  • Choosing a pump

  • Cleft lip / cleft palate

  • Colic

  • Cultural issues

  • Dealing with criticism

  • Elimination patterns

  • Failure to thrive

  • Fertility issues

  • Frequency of breastfeeding

  • How to tell baby is getting enough milk

  • How the birthing affects breastfeeding

  • Introducing solids

I offer a 1-2-1 antenatal workshop in the comfort of your home. I will explain how breastfeeding works, how to effectively prepare and set realistic expectations. I will give you useful tips and tricks, and share helpful resources. You can ask me any breastfeeding questions via phone or email until your baby arrives, and have one telephone consultation after the birth if needed.

£130/2hrs

Postnatal visits - I can come to see you at home or even in the hospital as soon as your baby is born or when you need me. During this initial consultation I will take a full history of baby's birth and breastfeeding so far. I will watch the baby feed to see how is he/she doing. I can then help you with different positions, show you how to achieve a good latch, and suggest solutions for any issues you may be dealing with. Together we will come up with a bespoke plan to help you achieve your breastfeeding goals. I will make sure I leave you feeling comfortable and confident. You will be able to contact me via phone or email should you need further assistance.

£130/2hrs

Follow up visits £100/60-90min
